Duradel OSRS Guide: The Highest Level Slayer Master

Within the world of Gielinor, there are hundreds of creatures that you can slay for fantastic loot in Old School RuneScape. The most exclusive monsters that drop top-tier equipment usually require a certain Slayer level and may even need you to be a Wilderness Slayer. Who Is Duradel?

When training Slayer in Old School RS, you’ll need to accept tasks from masters. The task will consist of what creature to kill and how many. Depending on the Slayer Master the monster’s level can be extremely high or under-leveled for your character. Therefore, you need to select a master within your combat bracket.

Duradel is the highest level Slayer master, who is located in Shilo Village. He is reached by climbing the ladder in the fishing shop, which is South of the river. Players can only receive tasks from him if they have level 100 combat and level 50 Slayer. However, you can get tasks below level 100 combat if you have achieved level 99 Slayer.

He will assign the best creatures like a black demon or dust devil that provide excellent loot and experience rates. Therefore, you should go straight to Duradel once you achieved all the requirements.

What Are Slayer Points?

Slayer points are rewards for completing tasks assigned by masters. They can be spent on various items like a Slayer ring that will let you kill certain enemies and benefit the overall Slayer experience. These are must-buy items from Duradel:

• Slayer Helmet: This reward is the best for Slayer because it combines the black mask, earmuffs, facemask, nose peg, spiny helmet, enchanted gem, reinforced goggles. These items are needed to kill certain creatures. By equipping the Slayer Helm, you won’t need to bother remembering what items you need to bring.
• Task Extensions: An amazing way to spend your points is to extend tasks. This will let you increase the task kill count on preferred assignments.
• Block tasks: Depending on how many quest and Slayer points players have, they can block unlikeable tasks. This will help out tremendously when doing the higher-tier tasks. This is because Duradel will assign high kill count tasks, which can be a pain when doing unfavorable tasks.

Furthermore, Duradel has the 2^nd most base Slayer point rewards after completing a task. He will give 15 points per task, and a multiplier will apply after consecutively completing assignments.

• 10^th task – 5x Multiplier
• 50^th task – 15x Multiplier
• 100^th task – 25x Multiplier
• 250^th task – 35x Multiplier
• 1000^th task – 50x Multiplier

Once you reach the Slayer end game, you’ll need to have decent gear to slay creatures efficiently. All monsters have weaknesses so having powerful gear in all 3 combat styles is optimal. If you don’t have the bank to purchase these items, equip the best gear you can afford using your RS gold. This is the best setup to wear:

Inventory:

Your inventory setup will vary with each combat style. On each trip, bring various potions to boost your combat and defensive stats. Also,bring the best food that you can afford to train at each location for longer.

Also, you can bring a familiar like a war tortoise or a pack yak. They will store items that you’ll want to bank later on.

Quest To Complete Before Training Slayer

OSRS features hundreds of quests to complete, which will unlock new locations and creatures. Players will have to do them to gain access to unique Slayer monsters that have brilliant drops and XP rates. Firstly, players will need to complete Shilo Village to gain access to Duradel to receive the best Slayer assignments.

Best Duradel Slayer Tasks

Abyssal Demon

Abyssal Demons are one of the best Slayer monsters because they can drop Abyssal whips and daggers. They require level 85 Slayer to kill and can be found on the 3^rd floor in the Slayer Tower. Also, they are in the Slayer Tower basement, which is not as crowded as the 3^rd floor.

They have a max hit of 8, so bring high-tier armor and good food. They have a weakness to demonbane weapons, which deal significantly more damage to demon creatures.

• Priest in Peril

Gargoyle

A brilliant money-making Slayer monster is the Gargoyle. They have a combat level of 111 and can max hit 11 HP. They drop various rune items, herbs, and occasionally the granite maul. Players with a good pace can make around +750k GP per hour. Gargoyles are located on the 2^nd floor of the Slayer Tower.

Skeletal Wyvern

Skeletal Wyverns are scary-looking creatures that can potentially one-shot players. Make sure to bring an anti-dragon potion to counter the dragon breath special attack. Also, they require to wear an elemental shield, mind shield, dragonfire shield, dragonfire ward, or an ancient wyvern shield.

They can be found at the end of the Asgarnian Ice Dragon. The best drop from Skeletal Wyvern is granite legs, dragon platelegs, and dragon plateskirt.

Requirements:

• Level 72 Slayer

Smoke Devil

The Smoke Devil is a mutated version of a Dusk Devil, found inside the Smoke Devil Dungeon. Players must wear a Slayer Helmet or a facemask to kill them. Also, only adventurers with an active Slayer task can harm them.

The Smoke Devil can drop an occult necklace and dragon chainbodies. Therefore, making them an excellent source of money.

• Level 93 Slayer
• Slayer Helmet or Facemask

Waterfiend

Waterfiends can be found inside the Ancient Cavern underneath the Baxtorian Falls after completing the Waterfall quest. They are an excellent source of Ranged experience, and players can earn +200k XP easily. They don’t offer very good loot, but their experience rate compensates for this negative.

To get to the Waterfiends use a games necklace and teleport to Barbarian Outpost. Afterward, go South until you see a dock with a whirlpool in front. Jump inside to reach the Ancient Cavern, and you’ll see Waterfiend on your right.

Wyrm

Wyrms are draconic creatures found inside the lower levels of the Karuulm Slayer Dungeon. They have a combat level of 99 and require level 62 Slayer to kill. Since they are found within a volcano, players must wear boots of stone, boots of brimstone, or granite boots to protect themselves from the heat.

They are brilliant money-makers if you have the RNG gods on your side. They have a 1/2,000 chance to drop a dragon sword, harpoon, knife, and thrownaxe.

• Level 62 Slayer
• Boots of Brimstone, Boots of Stone, or Granite Boots

Drake

Drakes are wingless dragons that are located on the middle level of the Karuulm Slayer Dungeon. They are only found in this location since volcanos are their natural habitat. Due to the heat of the volcano, players must wear granite boots, boots of brimstone, or boots of stone. Their rarest drops are Drake’s Tooth, Drake’s Claw, dragon thrownaxe, and dragon knife.

• Level 84 Slayer
• Boots of Brimstone, Boots of Stone, or Granite Boots

Aviansie

Aviansies are creatures found in the Southen section of the God Wars Dungeon. They fight for their god Armadyl and engage in combat against followers of Zamorak. Players can kill the boss version to complete the task to receive better loot. Also, they can only be attacked with Ranged or Magic.
