Within Runescape, one of the hardest tasks of all is getting your hands on gear that can give you a tactical advantage over in-game enemies and PvP challenges. While there are tonnes of options, a wealth of loot that you can obtain, and a huge market where you can grab it called the Grand Exchange. However, to get this gear, you either need to be able to take down some of the fiercest creatures within the game, meaning that you need some very good stats. Or alternatively, you need a lot of gold to fund your shopping spree.
However, if neither of these options is within your reach due to a low-level character or one that is strapped for cash. You don’t need to worry as there are several paths that you can take that will lead you to some high-quality gear with requirements that are relatively stress-free and economically viable. However, you may not know where to find said loot. Well, that’s where we come in. We have created a series of guides that give you insight into the best items within the game that don’t cost an arm or a leg to obtain.
In this guide, we break down what the Elite Void is within OSRS, help you understand what sets it apart from the standard Void, and also give you all the stats related to this gear and where to obtain it. Without further delay here is our essential Elite Void OSRS handbook.
What is Elite Void in OSRS?
The Elite Void armor is a superior version of the Void Knight equipment. This is acquired when you complete the hard Western Provinces diary and also requires the player to earn a certain amount of knight recommendation points. In terms of appearance, this gear consists of a robe and a top. The top is white with black shoulder pads, a black underlayer which can be seen at the player’s midriff, a grey logo that bears the insignia of the Void Knight. This top cuts off at the belly, much like a crop top.
Then as for the robe, this keeps to the same color scheme. The middle of the robe is white, with the surrounding fabric being a black color, there is a small patch of white around the back of the waist. Then lastly, the robe also has a belt that wraps around the waist. The belt is a teal color and tied by a knot in the middle.
In terms of the stats concerning this gear, this offers the same defensive benefits as the standard Void armor. You will enjoy all-around defensive protection of 75 damage threshold for all attack types. However, this particular armor0 will also offer unique buffs such as a boost of six to your prayer stat. Plus, you will gain a 2.5% damage boost when using mage and ranged attacks, including an overall accuracy bonus of 45%.
What is Void Knight in OSRS?
It may be beneficial to let you know exactly what the Void Knight armor is. This gear is the basic version of the aforementioned Elite Void armor. In terms of appearance, this one has the same insignia printed on the chest of the top only in white. Then the top is back instead of white and is a cut of vest shape with white trim at the bottom. Then as for the Void Knight Robe, it also has a charcoal color, a black belt with two white drawstrings, cuffed sleeves which are white and grey alternating stripes, and a black and white alternating stripe trim at the bottom of the robe.
To obtain this armor, you will need to collect 850 knight recommendation points by doing Pest Control. This gear includes a helmet, top, robes, gloves, a mace, and a seal. This gear statistically offers all the same defensive buffs as the elite armor variant and can be obtained in as little as five hours and forty mins, with the max time being nine hours and twenty-eight mins, provided you win every minigame.
What are the Requirements for Elite Void?
As is the case with all armor variants within OSRS, you will need to raise your character’s stats by a certain amount if you intend to wear this gear. However, you may be wondering just what the game will ask of you before you can slip into Elite Void threads. Well, allow us to spill the beans. Here are the stat requirements to equip the Elite Void Knight Armour:
- Attack: 42
- Defense: 42
- Hitpoints: 42
- Ranged: 42
- Magic: 42
- Prayer: 22
It is also worth noting that while not strictly required to wear the armor, the player will have to have a combat level of 100 to take on and defeat Zulrah which is a must to complete the hard Western Provinces diary. However, if you have these stats or higher, you will be given the opportunity to purchase these items with the Knight Recommendation Points that you can earn from Pest Control.
What is The Difference Between Void Knight and Elite Void Knight?
There are only two real differences here, the appearance and the buffs given to the player. The Void Knight armor is mostly back and has a much more common appearance. Whereas the Elite Void Armour is white and black and in terms of design, represents a Void Knight graduate, complete with a belt to show their prestige, not unlike many martial arts. Then as for the stat boosts, the key differences are the six points that elite wearers gain to their prayer stat. Then there is also the 2.5% damage boost that players receive when using magic and ranged attacks.
There is also a slight difference in cost. As the player will have to pay 250 Knight Recommendation points for the standard robe and top. However, to upgrade these items further, it will only cost the player 200 of these points.
How to Get Elite Void In OSRS?
You obtain this item by doing two things. One of these is gaining enough Knight Recommendation points to afford the gear. Then the second is completing the hard Western Provinces diary. The former involves participating in a mini-game called Pest Control. This game sees the player enter an arena where they will have to protect a Void Knight from an onslaught of enemies, meanwhile, they will also have to close a series of portals where the monsters are coming from.
Step One: Pest Control:
This game has three difficulty settings, novice, intermediate, and veteran. These different skill levels will award increasingly more generous points for the victor but in turn, will also throw much more challenging waves of enemies at the player. However, you will be assigned a difficulty based on your combat level. The positive thing about this game is that, even if you lose and perish, you will not lose any of your items and your stats will be replenished so you can jump back into the action.
The aim of the game is to keep your void knight alive for 20 minutes. Or alternatively, and much more commonly, you can destroy all four portals where the monsters are spawning from and you will win the game. This usually takes a skilled player about two minutes to achieve. Within this battle, you may face the likes of Brawlers, Defilers, Ravagers, Shifters, Spinners, Splatters, and Torchers.
Step Two: hard Western Provinces diary
Then to actually be given the opportunity to buy this exclusive armor, you will also need to complete the hard Western Provinces diary. This requires the player to complete a series of quests within the game and complete a certain list of criteria. So to help you understand exactly what is required, below is every quest that you need to complete, plus all the criteria that will need to be checked off.

Why Should I Get Elite Void Armour?
Well, there are several reasons why this armor is very desirable indeed. One is the fact that while you will have to complete a series of quests and grow your character to obtain this armor, the actual cost in terms of gold is very low. Plus, this armor offers a boost of six to your prayer stat which is very useful to intermediate players who are trying to boost their prayer stat to a standard where they can defend against high-level bosses and PvP challenges.
Then as well as this, the Elite Void Armour is the best slot ranged DPS armor in the entire game. So if you make small adjustments to make this a ranged build, you will reap the benefits. These include much better results when taking part in TOB and raids. It is also useful for early game hybriding and try bidding. This armor may not be useful for those that don’t aim to use it for these specific purposes. However, for those that want a cheap option with a great deal of defensive protection and unique buffs, you can do a lot worse than this armor set.
Lost in the Void
As you can see from the information above, the Elite Void Armour is an armor set that offers several perks and at a very low cost. You’ll have to work hard to rise up the ranks within the Void Knights, you will also have to build your character quite significantly and complete a good few quests. However, if you do, the defensive stability and prayer stat bonus you get is worth the effort. So be sure to get checking off those tasks and working through the countless Pest Control games as soon as possible.

Question: How Many Mini-Games Are There in OSRS?
Answer: This depends on if you play as a Free-to-play player or a paid RS member. If you don’t pay for the pleasure of enjoying a more expansive OSRS experience you’ll only have access to four minigames. These are Castle Wars, Clan Wars, Duel Arena, and Last Man Standing. However, if you pay membership, you will have access to a grand total of forty-six minigames within OSRS. Some of these are skill-based, some are based around combat competence, some are PvM and others are wild cards marked as miscellaneous.
Question: Can Free to Play Players Get Void Knight Armour?
Answer: The simple answer is no. Free-to-play players don’t have access to the Pest Control minigame as this is for members only. So even if the FTP players were to mark off all the criteria in the hard Western Provinces diary, there would be no means of getting the Knight Recommendation Points needed. Plus, these items are untradable, so you won’t be able to find these items on the Grand Exchange. So if you want the Elite Void Armour, you’ll need to sign up for an RS membership.
Question: What is The Best Looking Armour in OSRS?
Answer: While this is a purely subjective question, we want to do our best to give an objective answer. We think that it’s a toss-up between the Dragonstone Armour or the Full Ornate armor. While these armor sets are far from the best armor setups within the entire game with regards to stats, aesthetically they are top-notch. The dragon stone armor offers a slick, metallic style akin to standard knight’s armor. However, it has the lovely amethyst features that truly make this armor set shine.
Whereas the Full Ornate armor is a much more regal, almost Roman Centurian style look. The color scheme is crimson red and gold, offering a rich and decadent feel to the armor.
